5:30 – 8:30: Kimberly Woods, also known as KAZ, is a singer and actress currently residing in New York City. Growing up in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was first introduced to Jazz and the Great American Songbook through the music of her grandfather, Bill Woods, playing saxophone and clarinet around the valley, and her mother, Brenda Woods who is also a singer. She quickly fell in love with the sounds of Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughn, Peggy Lee, and other artists of that era. Some of her favorite artists include Natalie Cole, Diana Krall, Ann Hampton Calloway, Michael Bublé, Harry Connick Jr. and others. Performing in Chicago, San Francisco, Salt Lake City and most recently Phoenix, she is thrilled to be in the Big Apple. KAZ works in duo with guitar or piano, with a trio, or full band.
