International percussionist sensation Stéphane Seva joins us for an evening of jazz featuring his instrument of choice, the washboard. Seva began his musical endeavors at a young age with his father, playing the washboard in a traditional jazz band in France. Today he’s internationally recognized as one of the top washboard talents. Additionally, in 2007 (as lead vocalist), he recorded and released ‘To Frank and Ray’, a homage to Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles. Since 1998 Seva has been featured on a regular basis at Parisian jazz clubs and world-renowned jazz festivals with his band ‘Swing Ondulé’. When in the states, he collaborates with top musical talents as we have for you tonight.
